The Dubai Canal Cruise is an artificial extension of the Dubai Creek. The waterway leads from the old Dubai through the Business Bay to the Arabian Gulf. Over a length of 3.2 kilometers, a number of public squares and waterfront facilities have been created, which now offer space for a three-kilometer jogging track and a twelve-kilometer cycle path. With five architecturally striking pedestrian bridges and three motor-way bridges, Safa Park and Al Habtoor City with three luxury hotels, a marina with boardwalk and many shops, many attractive leisure facilities have sprung up along the Dubai Canal Cruise. A highlight is a waterfall on the Sheikh Zayed Road bridge. In the evening, the jets of water are illuminated, which stop automatically as soon as boats pass under the bridge.
